Gold and silver prices rise in domestic market



KATHMANDU: Prices of gold and silver increased in the domestic market today. Compared to Thursday, gold rose by Rs 1,000 per tola, while silver increased by Rs 50 per tola.

According to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association, the price of fine gold has been fixed at Rs 285,000 per tola today, while silver is being traded at Rs 4,360 per tola.

On Thursday, fine gold was traded at Rs 284,000 per tola and silver at Rs 4,310 per tola. On Wednesday, gold had been traded at Rs 283,200 per tola, while silver was priced at Rs 4,320 per tola.

In the international market, gold was trading at around USD 4,070 per ounce and silver at USD 58 per ounce, according to international market reports.
