Landslides and floods disrupt traffic on major highways

KATHMANDU: Continuous heavy rainfall, landslides and flooding have disrupted vehicular movement on several major highways and road sections across the country.

In Sindhupalchowk, the Araniko Highway has been completely closed following landslides at Jirokilo and Kodari in Bhotekoshi Rural Municipality.

Flooding has also blocked the Lamosanghu-Ramechhap road section at Kirnetar in Tamakoshi Rural Municipality-5 of Dolakha district.
