KATHMANDU: Nepal has set a challenging target of 314 runs for China in the opening match of the Asian Games qualifiers.
After winning the toss in Singapore and opting to bat first, Nepal posted 313 runs for the loss of 2 wickets in their allotted 20 overs.
Opener Kushal Bhurtel delivered a record-breaking performance, smashing six sixes in an over and dominating the Chinese bowling attack. He scored a blistering 129 runs off just 43 balls, hitting 16 sixes before being dismissed.
Captain Rohit Paudel and Kushal Malla also contributed with explosive half-centuries, helping Nepal build a formidable total.
