Dozens of RSP leaders, cadres join JSP Nepal

RAJBIRAJ: Dozens of leaders and cadres of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP), including Munilal Khang, a candidate for chairperson of Bishnupur Rural Municipality, have joined the Janata Samajwadi Party (JSP) Nepal.

They entered JSP Nepal during an interaction program with leading party cadres held in Jamuni Madhepura of Saptari constituency No. 3. JSP Nepal Chair Upendra Yadav welcomed the new entrants by garlanding them and offering tika at the event.

Khang, who is also a former chairperson of the then Jamuni Madhepura Village Development Committee, had joined RSP only a few days ago and had been active at the local level. With Khang along with his supporters and cadres joining JSP Nepal, the party’s organization in the area has been further strengthened, said JSP Nepal Central Secretary Shailendra Prasad Shah.

Speaking after joining the party, Khang said he decided to affiliate with JSP Nepal as it has consistently struggled for the rights and interests of Madhesh and the Madheshi people. He also urged the general public to support JSP Nepal Chair Upendra Yadav with a strong mandate from their respective places, stating that Saptari still lags behind in terms of development and needs focused leadership for progress and prosperity.
