KATHMANDU: The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index fell 4.82 points on Wednesday to close at 2,598.89 points.
According to the Nepal Stock Exchange, the Sensitive Index, which measures the performance of large companies, also declined 2.02 points to 464.63 points.
Similarly, the Float Index fell 0.43 points to 179.02 points, while the Sensitive Float Index dropped 0.65 points to 156.78 points.
A total of 12,655,374 shares were traded for Rs 4.765 billion on Wednesday.
Of the 13 subgroups, three posted gains while 10 declined. Among 279 companies traded, share prices of 109 companies increased, 157 declined and 13 remained unchanged.
According to NEPSE, investors in Sindhu Development Bank, Sayapatri Hydropower and Ghalemdi Hydropower, among others, recorded gains. Investors in Sanima Growth Fund, Chirkhwa Hydropower and Sopan Pharmaceuticals, among others, incurred losses.
