House of Representatives meeting scheduled for today

KATHMANDU: The House of Representatives is scheduled to meet at the Federal Parliament building in Singha Durbar at 1 pm today.

During the meeting, Minister for Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Sobita Gautam is expected to present a proposal to send the Reconciliation (Second Amendment) Bill, 2083 to the concerned committee for clause-by-clause discussion.

Minister Gautam will also present proposals to send the Nepal Law Commission (First Amendment) Bill, 2083 and the Free Legal Aid Bill, 2083 to the concerned committee for clause-by-clause discussion.

Similarly, Minister for Agriculture, Forest and Environment Gita Chaudhary is expected to present a proposal to send the Infectious Animal Diseases (Control) Bill, 2083, which originated in the National Assembly, to the concerned committee for clause-by-clause discussion.

Minister for Science, Technology and Innovation Mahabir Pun will propose the passage of the National Forensic Science Laboratory (Establishment and Operation) Bill, 2083.

Meanwhile, meetings of four parliamentary committees are also scheduled for today. According to the Federal Parliament Secretariat, the Finance Committee, Law, Justice and Human Rights Committee, Development, Economic Affairs and Good Governance Committee, and Legislative Management Committee will hold their respective meetings.
