PM Balen meets President Paudel after national address



KATHMANDU: Prime Minister Balen Shah met President Ramchandra Paudel at the Office of the President, Shital Niwas, on Thursday night shortly after addressing the nation.

The meeting comes amid growing concerns over the recent unrest in several Tarai-Madhesh districts and is being viewed in the context of the evolving security situation.

According to sources, Prime Minister Shah briefed President Paudel on the current law and order situation, the measures taken by the government and other contemporary political developments.

The two also discussed the recent tensions in the Tarai-Madhesh region and the government’s ongoing efforts to restore peace and maintain social harmony.

The meeting took place as the government faces mounting pressure to effectively manage the security situation following the recent violence in Sunsari, Siraha and other districts.
