Rabi Lamichhane directs RSP lawmakers to promote communal harmony in districts

KATHMANDU: Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) Chair Rabi Lamichhane has instructed the party’s lawmakers to visit their respective districts with a message of communal harmony and social cohesion.

The directive was issued on Thursday following Lamichhane’s meeting with RSP lawmakers representing Koshi and Madhesh provinces.

Speaking to reporters after the meeting, Bara-4 lawmaker Rahbar Ansari said the party chair had asked MPs to actively work towards strengthening communal harmony and promoting tolerance.

Lamichhane also instructed the lawmakers to play a coordinating role in restoring normalcy in districts affected by recent violence and to engage with local stakeholders to help ease tensions.
