KATHMANDU: CPN-UML Secretary Padma Kumari Aryal has urged the government to resume Public Service Commission examinations, saying the decision to halt the process has affected young job seekers.
Speaking during Thursday’s meeting of the House of Representatives, Aryal criticized the government for suspending the examinations and demanded their immediate reopening.
She said many youths had been preparing for PSC exams when the government suddenly stopped the process, creating uncertainty about their future.
“Is the government’s intention to prevent skilled and educated citizens of this country from staying here?” Aryal questioned.
She said that although the government claims to be youth-friendly and committed to employment opportunities and respecting talent, closing the door to open competition has left capable young people uncertain about their future.
