Opposition parties in HoR to hold meeting today

KATHMANDU: The meeting of opposition parties in the House of Representatives is scheduled to take place today.

The meeting will be held at 11:30 am on Thursday at the CPN-UML Parliamentary Party Office, Singha Durbar, according to Yubaraj Dulal, Chief Whip of the Nepali Communist Party.

A meeting of opposition parties was also held on Wednesday, which included four opposition parties except the Shram Sanskriti Party.

Dulal said Wednesday’s meeting focused on government ordinances, where the parties developed a common position.

“Today’s agenda includes issues related to squatters and the activities of the Nepali Army. We will try to form a unified stance on resolving the squatter problem, and discussions will also cover the role of the army in squatter settlements,” he said.
