NRB sets today’s foreign currency exchange rates



KATHMANDU: Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has fixed the foreign exchange rates for today. The buying rate of one US dollar has been set at Rs 151.41, while the selling rate stands at Rs 152.01.

Similarly, the buying rate of one Euro is Rs 174.27 and the selling rate is Rs 174.96. The UK pound sterling is being traded at Rs 200.76 for buying and Rs 201.56 for selling, while the Swiss franc has a buying rate of Rs 189.53 and a selling rate of Rs 190.29.

Among other major currencies, the Australian dollar has a buying rate of Rs 104.06 and a selling rate of Rs 104.48. The Canadian dollar stands at Rs 108.97 for buying and Rs 109.40 for selling, while the Singapore dollar is valued at Rs 117.46 for buying and Rs 117.93 for selling.

The buying rate for 10 Japanese yen is Rs 9.44 and the selling rate is Rs 9.48. One Chinese yuan is being exchanged at Rs 21.91 for buying and Rs 21.99 for selling. The Saudi Arabian riyal is set at Rs 40.35 for buying and Rs 40.51 for selling, while the Qatari riyal stands at Rs 41.53 and Rs 41.69 respectively.

Likewise, the Thai baht has a buying rate of Rs 4.60 and a selling rate of Rs 4.62. The UAE dirham is priced at Rs 41.22 for buying and Rs 41.38 for selling, while the Malaysian ringgit stands at Rs 37.73 and Rs 37.88 respectively. The South Korean won (per 100 units) has a buying rate of Rs 10.04 and a selling rate of Rs 10.08.

European currencies such as the Swedish kronor and Danish kronor are traded at Rs 15.98 and Rs 23.32 for buying, and Rs 16.05 and Rs 23.41 for selling respectively.

Among other currencies, the Hong Kong dollar has been fixed at Rs 19.33 for buying and Rs 19.41 for selling. The Kuwaiti dinar is valued at Rs 493.27 for buying and Rs 495.23 for selling, the Bahraini dinar at Rs 401.62 and Rs 403.21, and the Omani rial at Rs 393.28 and Rs 394.84 respectively.

The exchange rate for 100 Indian rupees has been set at Rs 160 for buying and Rs 160.15 for selling.

The central bank has stated that these rates may be revised at any time as needed. It also noted that exchange rates set by commercial banks may vary, and updated rates are available on its official website.
