High-level committee formed under Foreign Minister to prepare for 12th NRNA World Conference



KATHMANDU: A high-level organizing committee has been formed under the chairmanship of the Minister for Foreign Affairs to oversee preparations for the 12th World Conference of the Non-Resident Nepali Association (NRNA).

According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the committee has been constituted as per a ministerial-level decision to manage and organize the world conference scheduled to be held in Nepal from March 13 to 16.

The ministry said the committee has been formed with the participation of various stakeholder institutions to ensure the conference is conducted in a successful, effective and well-organized manner.

The Foreign Minister will serve as the chair of the committee.

Members of the committee include a member of the National Planning Commission; the secretaries of the Ministries of Foreign Affairs, Finance, Industry, Commerce and Supplies, and Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs; the Chief Executive Officer of the Nepal Investment Board; joint secretaries from the Labour, Migration and Nepali Diaspora Coordination Division and the Economic Diplomacy Division; the presidents of the Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry, Nepal Industry Council and Nepal Chamber of Commerce; NRNA Presidents Dr. Badri K.C. and Mahesh Kumar Shrestha; and the Chief Executive Officer of the Non-Resident Nepali Association.

The ministry said the committee will be responsible for overall preparation, coordination and management of the upcoming world conference.
