KATHMANDU: A total of 616 bodies have been recovered following the devastating flood that struck the Bhotekoshi River in Rasuwa on August 26.
According to Nepal Police, 616 bodies had been recovered as of 7 am Saturday. Of the bodies recovered, 13 were found in Rasuwa, 41 in Nuwakot, 45 in Dhading, 233 in Chitwan, 48 in Gorkha, 31 in Tanahun, 158 in Nawalparasi East and 47 in Nawalparasi West.
Police said 2,301 people have been rescued from various locations so far. Of them, 676 were rescued from Rasuwa, 1,622 from Nuwakot and three from Dhading.
