KATHMANDU: The Cabinet has approved a series of legislative proposals, including amendments to existing laws and new bills to be tabled in the Federal Parliament.
Announcing the decisions made at Wednesday’s Cabinet meeting, Education Minister Sasmit Pokharel said the government had endorsed bills relating to the remuneration of office-bearers of constitutional bodies, mines and minerals, control of infectious animal diseases, passports, human trafficking, child labour prohibition, domestic air services, mediation and the Employees Provident Fund for parliamentary consideration.
The Cabinet also designated the Director General of the Department of Money Laundering Investigation, or an official authorised by the director general, as the investigating authority for offences related to foreign exchange violations, Pokharel said.
In another decision, the government appointed Khet Raj Dahal of Sindhuli as a member of the Problematic Cooperatives Management Committee.
The Cabinet also approved the Council for Technical Education and Vocational Training (Sixth Amendment) Regulations, 2083.
