Narayani Hospital doctors resign en masse over assault on medical officer

BIRGUNJ: Doctors at Narayani Hospital in Birgunj submitted their resignations en masse on Tuesday in protest against the assault on medical officer Dr. Pramod Ram Shah.

The incident occurred on Saturday after 45-year-old Raj Kumar Patel of Birgunj Metropolitan City–25 died while undergoing treatment at the hospital. Alleging medical negligence, Patel’s relatives reportedly attacked Dr. Shah and vandalized hospital property.
