Govt to introduce National Trauma Policy to reduce road accident losses



KATHMANDU: The government has announced plans to formulate a National Trauma Policy aimed at reducing losses of life and property caused by road accidents and emergency trauma cases.

Finance Minister Swarnim Wagle made the announcement while presenting the budget for fiscal year 2026/27 in the Federal Parliament.

He said the policy will focus on minimizing casualties and improving emergency response systems to better manage trauma-related incidents across the country.
