Govt abolishes 31 bodies, merges six in institutional restructuring



KATHMANDU: The government has announced the abolition of 31 public bodies and the merger of six others as part of a major institutional restructuring plan.

Finance Minister Swarnim Wagle made the announcement while presenting the budget for fiscal year 2083/84 in the Federal Parliament.

Presenting the annual budget, Wagle said the decision was aimed at improving administrative efficiency and reducing unnecessary institutional overlap within government agencies.
