KATHMANDU: Minister for Foreign Affairs Shisir Khanal held a telephone conversation with US Under Secretary of State for Political Affairs Allison Hooker last evening.
During the conversation, the US Under Secretary conveyed the US government’s commitment to work closely with Nepal, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The ministry stated that Minister Khanal and Under Secretary Hooker discussed the eight-decade-long relations between Nepal and the United States and reaffirmed their commitment to further strengthening cooperation at bilateral and multilateral levels for mutual benefit.
Likewise, Minister Khanal expressed Nepal’s gratitude to the US government for its continued cooperation in Nepal’s overall development.
He also shared Nepal’s priorities for good governance and economic growth through investments in infrastructure, energy, tourism, and digital technology.
Under Secretary Hooker appreciated Nepal’s development priorities and affirmed US support in the process, according to the ministry.
