Fire breaks out at Woodland Hotel in Durbar Marg



KATHMANDU: A fire broke out at Woodland Hotel in the Durbar Marg area of Kathmandu on Thursday morning.

According to initial information, the fire started after a short circuit in the club section of the hotel. Nepal Police personnel and four fire engines deployed by Kathmandu Metropolitan City were immediately mobilized to the scene to control the blaze.

Security personnel and firefighters are continuing efforts to bring the fire fully under control.

So far, no human casualties have been reported. Details regarding the exact cause of the fire and the extent of property damage are yet to be ascertained.
