Court orders release of businessman Shekhar Golchha on Rs10 million bail



KATHMANDU: The Kathmandu District Court has ordered the release of businessman Shekhar Golchha, a former vice-president of the Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI), on bail.

A bench of Judge Pratima Kumari Bhattarai Pokharel issued the order on Tuesday, setting separate bail amounts for two charges filed against Golchha.

According to Kathmandu District Court Information Officer Shiva Khatiwada, the court set bail at Rs7.5 million for an insurance-related offence and Rs2.5 million for a securities-related offence, bringing the total bail amount to Rs10 million.

Golchha will be released upon furnishing the court-ordered bail.
