Nepal to face Iran in CAVA Women’s Volleyball Nations League semifinal today



KATHMANDU: Nepal will take on Iran in the first semifinal of the CAVA Women’s Volleyball Nations League taking place in Kathmandu on Thursday.

The match will be played at the covered hall of Dasharath Stadium in Tripureshwor and is scheduled to begin at 5 pm.

Nepal reached the semifinal after making a strong comeback in the group stage. After suffering a 3–2 defeat against rivals India in the opening match, Nepal bounced back with straight-set victories over Kyrgyzstan and the Maldives, winning both matches 3–0.

The second semifinal of the tournament will also be played today between India and Kazakhstan. Organizers said the match will start at 2:30 pm.
