KATHMANDU: Nepal continues to experience changing weather conditions under the influence of westerly winds, local wind systems and a low-pressure area near the eastern region, with the Weather Forecasting Division warning of more rain and cloud activity across the country today.
According to the Division, the weather will remain generally cloudy in Koshi, Madhes, Bagmati and Gandaki provinces, as well as in other hilly and mountainous areas, while the Terai region is expected to remain partly cloudy this afternoon.
There is a possibility of moderate to heavy rain or snowfall with thunder and lightning in some areas of the hilly and mountainous regions of Koshi, Bagmati and Gandaki provinces, and in a few places of Madhes, Lumbini, Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces.
Likewise, one or two places in the Terai region of Bagmati and Gandaki provinces may also experience rainfall. Hot daytime conditions are likely in parts of the Terai in Lumbini and Sudurpaschim provinces.
The Division said the weather will remain generally cloudy across the country tonight, with chances of moderate to heavy rain or snowfall with thunder and lightning in some places of Bagmati, Gandaki and Lumbini provinces, and in a few places of Koshi, Madhes, Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces.
Gusty winds are also likely in some parts of the Terai and hilly regions of Lumbini, Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces, as well as in a few other Terai areas.
