NRB announces today’s foreign currency exchange rates



KATHMANDU: Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has fixed the foreign exchange rates for today. According to the central bank, the buying rate of one US dollar has been set at Rs 152.81 and the selling rate at Rs 153.41.

Similarly, the buying rate of one European euro has been fixed at Rs 177.84 and the selling rate at Rs 178.54. The buying rate of one British pound sterling stands at Rs 205.32 and the selling rate at Rs 206.12, while the buying rate of one Swiss franc is Rs 194.32 and the selling rate Rs 195.08.

The buying rate of one Australian dollar has been fixed at Rs 108.97 and the selling rate at Rs 109.40. Likewise, the buying rate of one Canadian dollar is Rs 110.42 and the selling rate Rs 110.86, while one Singapore dollar is being traded at a buying rate of Rs 119.60 and a selling rate of Rs 120.07.

According to the bank, the buying rate of 10 Japanese yen is Rs 9.59 and the selling rate Rs 9.62. The buying rate of one Chinese yuan is Rs 22.53 and the selling rate Rs 22.62, while one Saudi Arabian riyal has a buying rate of Rs 40.72 and a selling rate of Rs 40.88.

Similarly, the buying rate of one Qatari riyal is Rs 41.94 and the selling rate Rs 42.10. The buying rate of one Thai baht is Rs 4.69 and the selling rate Rs 4.70, while one UAE dirham is being exchanged at a buying rate of Rs 41.61 and a selling rate of Rs 41.77.

The buying rate of one Malaysian ringgit has been fixed at Rs 38.54 and the selling rate at Rs 38.69. The buying rate of 100 South Korean won is Rs 10.20 and the selling rate is also Rs 10.20. Likewise, the buying rate of one Swedish kronor is Rs 16.49 and the selling rate Rs 16.55, while one Danish kronor has a buying rate of Rs 23.80 and a selling rate of Rs 23.89.

According to the Rastra Bank, the buying rate of one Hong Kong dollar is Rs 19.51 and the selling rate Rs 19.58. The buying rate of one Kuwaiti dinar is Rs 495.24 and the selling rate Rs 520.00. Similarly, one Bahraini dinar has a buying rate of Rs 405.33 and a selling rate of Rs 406.92, while one Omani rial is being traded at a buying rate of Rs 396.90 and a selling rate of Rs 398.46.

The buying rate of 100 Indian rupees has been fixed at Rs 160.00 and the selling rate at Rs 160.15.

Nepal Rastra Bank stated that the exchange rates may be revised at any time as required. It also noted that rates fixed by commercial banks may vary, and updated exchange rates are available on the central bank’s website.
