Nepal Rastra Bank sets foreign currency exchange rates for today



KATHMANDU: Nepal Rastra Bank has published the foreign exchange rates for today, with the US dollar slightly declining while the euro has appreciated.

According to the central bank, the buying rate of one US dollar is set at Rs 150.41 and the selling rate at Rs 151. In contrast, the euro has strengthened, with its buying rate fixed at Rs 176.64 and selling rate at Rs 177.35.

The buying rate of one UK pound sterling stands at Rs 203.95 and the selling rate at Rs 204.76, while the Swiss franc is valued at Rs 191.74 for buying and Rs 192.50 for selling.

Among other currencies, the Australian dollar is being traded at Rs 108.10 (buying) and Rs 108.53 (selling), the Canadian dollar at Rs 110.49 and Rs 110.93, and the Singapore dollar at Rs 118.14 and Rs 118.61.

Similarly, 10 Japanese yen are valued at Rs 9.45 for buying and Rs 9.49 for selling. The Chinese yuan is set at Rs 22.04 (buying) and Rs 22.13 (selling). The Saudi riyal stands at Rs 40.10 and Rs 40.26, while the Qatari riyal is priced at Rs 41.26 and Rs 41.42.

The Thai baht is fixed at Rs 4.66 (buying) and Rs 4.67 (selling), the UAE dirham at Rs 40.95 and Rs 41.11, and the Malaysian ringgit at Rs 38.05 and Rs 38.21. The South Korean won is valued at Rs 10.23 (buying) and Rs 10.27 (selling), the Swedish krona at Rs 16.37 and Rs 16.43, and the Danish krone at Rs 23.64 and Rs 23.73.

Additionally, the Hong Kong dollar is set at Rs 19.19 for buying and Rs 19.27 for selling. The Kuwaiti dinar is valued at Rs 490.89 (buying) and Rs 492.85 (selling), the Bahraini dinar at Rs 398.60 and Rs 400.19, and the Omani rial at Rs 390.67 and Rs 392.23.

For Indian currency, the exchange rate for INR 100 has been fixed at Rs 160 for buying and Rs 160.15 for selling.

Nepal Rastra Bank noted that these rates may be revised at any time as required. It also stated that exchange rates set by commercial banks may vary, and updated rates are available on the central bank’s official website.
