RSP chief Rabi Lamichhane stable in hospital after leg infection

KATHMANDU: The Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital (TUTH) in Maharajgunj has provided an update on the treatment of Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) Chair Rabi Lamichhane.

Lamichhane was admitted to the hospital’s orthopedics department on Tuesday due to a problem in his left leg. According to a statement issued by hospital spokesperson Dr. Gopal Sedain, the injury occurred on January 19 during a program in Janakpur.

Despite taking medication, his condition did not improve, and he developed cellulitis, an infection of the deeper layers of the skin, which required hospitalization and treatment. The hospital stated that Lamichhane is currently receiving antibiotics through an IV.

His health condition is reported to be stable, and the treatment process is ongoing.
