PM’s Cup cricket team announced under Khadak’s captaincy



BAITADI: The final squad representing Baitadi for the Sudurpaschim selection of the Prime Minister’s Cup One-Day National Cricket Tournament has been announced.

According to Siddharaj Bokati, Secretary of the Baitadi District Cricket Association, a 14-member team has been selected under the captaincy of Khadak Bohara.

Baitadi District Cricket Association President Binod Bahadur Chand said the team was finalized after organizing various competitions and evaluating players based on their performances.

The selected team comprises Khadak Bohara (captain), Lokendra Chand (vice-captain), Sunil Chand (wicketkeeper), Gajendra Bohara, Deepak Bohara, Naren Bhatta, Hikmat Mahara, Sachin Bhatta, Ayush Chand, Laxman Karki, Bhupendra Chand, Bikram Bohara, Nikhil Chand, and Pradeep Chand. Dipesh Bohara, Kalpesh Chand, and Rishikesh Bohara have been named as alternate players.

Baitadi will play its first match of the tournament on February 1 against Darchula at the Fapla Cricket Ground. The tournament is being organized by the Sudurpaschim Provincial Cricket Association.

Provincial Cricket Association Secretary Laxman Dutta Bhatta said teams from eight districts of the province will take part in the competition. Following the provincial selection, a Sudurpaschim team will be formed to compete at the national level.
