KATHMANDU: An all-party meeting called by Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) Chair Rabi Lamichhane is underway at Singha Durbar in Kathmandu.
Lamichhane has called the meeting to discuss the situation arising from the floods in Rasuwa. The meeting, which began at 9 am at the RSP parliamentary party office in Singha Durbar, is attended by top leaders including RSP Chair Lamichhane, Nepali Congress President Gagan Kumar Thapa, Nepali Communist Party Coordinator Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda, and others.
The meeting is discussing the necessary coordination between political parties and future steps in the situation arising from the floods. Similarly, the search and rescue, relief management and the latest situation in the affected areas will be discussed, informed RSP spokesperson Jagdish Kharel.
The floods have caused great damage to people, property and physical infrastructure in various places including the Rasuwagadhi area. Search and rescue operations are ongoing in the affected areas by security personnel and relevant agencies.
