KATHMANDU: Ten tonnes of relief materials provided by the Indian government for victims of the Bhotekoshi flood in Rasuwa have arrived in Nepal.
Indian Ambassador to Nepal Naveen Srivastava handed over the relief materials to Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Khadka Raj Poudel ‘Ganesh’ at Tribhuvan International Airport.
Earlier, Indian External Affairs Minister Dr S. Jaishankar had announced on social media that humanitarian assistance, disaster relief supplies and essential medicines had been sent to Nepal for those affected by the floods in Rasuwa.
Expressing condolences to the bereaved families and others affected by the disaster, Jaishankar said India stands with Nepal and the Nepali people during this difficult time.
