CHITWAN: The Narayangadh–Muglin highway has fully reopened to two-way traffic after landslides at multiple locations were cleared.
The road was blocked earlier on Sunday after rocks fell at the 17-kilometre section and a mud-and-rock landslide occurred near Simaltal.
According to Krishna Acharya, information officer and engineer at the Chitwan Road Division Office, debris from both sites has now been removed, allowing traffic to resume in both directions.
The road was initially reopened for one-way traffic immediately after the debris was partially cleared. Acharya said that once traffic volume eased, clearance work was completed at both locations, and the highway was reopened to two-way traffic from 3:15 pm.
