Three parliamentary committees to hold meetings on education, governance and public policy



KATHMANDU: Three committees under the Federal Parliament are scheduled to meet on Monday to discuss issues related to medical education, parliamentary planning and public policy.

The Education, Health and Information Technology Committee will convene at 2:00 pm at Singha Durbar to review the implementation status of the National Medical Education Act, 2018.

The meeting has invited Minister for Health and Food Hygiene, the Minister for Education and Sports, the secretaries of both ministries and the Vice-Chairperson of the Medical Education Commission to participate in the discussions.

Meanwhile, the Development, Economic Affairs and Good Governance Committee will meet at 11:00 am to discuss its annual work plan for the fiscal year 2026/27.

Similarly, the Public Policy and Delegated Legislation Committee is scheduled to meet at 11:30 am at Singha Durbar.

The committee will hold discussions with officials from the Central Department of History at Tribhuvan University, Kirtipur, and has invited the department head to attend the meeting.
