Sudurpashchim CM Shah calls for stronger inter-agency coordination to enhance public security

KATHMANDU: Sudurpashchim Province Chief Minister Kamal Bahadur Shah has stressed the need for stronger coordination and collaboration among all concerned agencies to ensure the security of citizens and the state.

Addressing the inauguration of the Sudurpashchim Province-Level Crime Investigation Review Seminar in Dhangadhi on Saturday, Shah said safeguarding the lives and property of citizens, as well as protecting the state, is a shared responsibility of the government, security agencies, the judiciary, and the media.

He noted that all state institutions are complementary to one another and that effective results can only be achieved through mutual cooperation and coordination.

“If we can place public safety at the centre of our work, citizens’ trust in the state will become even stronger,” Shah said.

The Chief Minister also underscored the need to modernize the crime investigation system, making it more professional, timely, and results-oriented. He urged relevant agencies to work in a coordinated manner to further strengthen the effectiveness of criminal investigations.
