14 arrested with drugs from various parts of country



KATHMANDU: Police have arrested 14 individuals from various parts of the country on drug-related charges during routine patrol operations on Wednesday and Thursday.

According to the Nepal Police Central Police Newsroom, 29-year-old Rakki Kumar Yadav of Siraha Municipality-8 was arrested with drugs from a hotel in Thamel, Kathmandu Metropolitan City-26.

Similarly, one person each was arrested with drugs from New Bus Park area in Kathmandu Metropolitan City-16, Mechi bridge in Bhadrapur Municipality-5, Ganeshpur in Gulariya Municipality-11, and Lahan Municipality-3. Two individuals were arrested from Beljhundi in Tulsipur Sub-metropolitan City-18.

In addition, one person was arrested from Lamkichuha Municipality-6 in Kailali, while two individuals were apprehended in Belauri Municipality-8, Kanchanpur.

Police also arrested two individuals with durgs from Dharan Sub-metropolitan City–16, and another two with 17 kilograms of marijuana from Bishnupaduka Bridge in Dharan–20.

Further investigation into the cases is underway, police said.
