NRB issues today’s foreign currency exchange rates



KATHMANDU: Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has set the foreign exchange rates for today (Friday), with most foreign currencies declining in value.

According to the central bank, the buying rate of one US dollar has been fixed at Rs 150.07, while the selling rate stands at Rs 150.67.

Similarly, the euro is being traded at Rs 173.24 for buying and Rs 173.93 for selling, while the UK pound sterling is set at Rs 200.30 (buying) and Rs 201.10 (selling). The Swiss franc has a buying rate of Rs 189.30 and a selling rate of Rs 190.06.

Among other major currencies, the Australian dollar is priced at Rs 103.93 (buying) and Rs 104.35 (selling), the Canadian dollar at Rs 108.40 and Rs 108.83, and the Singapore dollar at Rs 116.86 and Rs 117.33.

In Asian currencies, 10 Japanese yen is valued at Rs 9.41 (buying) and Rs 9.44 (selling), while the Chinese yuan stands at Rs 21.72 and Rs 21.81. The Saudi Arabian riyal is set at Rs 40.40 (buying) and Rs 40.16 (selling), and the Qatari riyal at Rs 41.06 and Rs 41.22.

Likewise, the Thai baht is valued at Rs 4.57 (buying) and Rs 4.59 (selling), the UAE dirham at Rs 40.86 and Rs 41.03, and the Malaysian ringgit at Rs 37.57 and Rs 37.72. The South Korean won (per 100 units) is priced at Rs 9.96 (buying) and Rs 10.00 (selling). The Swedish kronor stands at Rs 15.99 and Rs 16.06, while the Danish kronor is set at Rs 23.19 and Rs 23.28.

The bank has also fixed the Hong Kong dollar at Rs 19.18 (buying) and Rs 19.26 (selling), the Kuwaiti dinar at Rs 489.39 and Rs 491.34, the Bahraini dinar at Rs 397.48 and Rs 399.07, and the Omani rial at Rs 389.84 and Rs 391.40. Meanwhile, 100 Indian rupees is valued at Rs 160.00 (buying) and Rs 160.15 (selling).

Nepal Rastra Bank has stated that these rates may be revised at any time as required. It also noted that exchange rates offered by commercial banks may vary, and updated rates are available on the central bank’s official website.
