Printing of ballot papers for proportional representation completed



KATHMANDU: The printing of ballot papers for the proportional representation (PR) system for the upcoming House of Representatives election, scheduled for March 5, has been completed.

The Election Commission stated that 28.5 million PR ballot papers were printed on Monday at Janak Shiksha Samagri Kendra Limited in Sanothimi.nManaging Director of the center, Yadunath Poudel, said that printing of ballot papers for the direct election system has begun following the completion of the PR ballot papers. According to him, the printing work for direct ballots started on Monday.

Earlier, the center had printed 1,098,200 sample ballot papers and submitted them to the Election Commission. These sample ballots are being used for voter education and other awareness-related activities.
