Strong winds likely in 11 districts across five provinces today



KATHMANDU: Strong winds are likely to sweep through several districts across five provinces on Tuesday, prompting the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology to issue a weather alert for affected areas and surrounding regions.

According to the Weather Forecasting Division, strong winds are expected to occur after Tuesday afternoon in Jhapa and Morang districts of Koshi Province and nearby areas.

The department has also warned of possible strong winds in several other districts across the country.

In Madhesh Province, Bara, Parsa, Sarlahi and Dhanusha districts are likely to experience strong winds along with surrounding areas.

Similarly, Makawanpur and Chitwan districts of Bagmati Province are also at risk of strong winds.

In Gandaki Province, Nawalpur and Tanahun districts may witness strong winds, while Rupandehi district and nearby areas of Lumbini Province are also expected to be affected.

The Department has urged the public to remain alert and take necessary precautions to avoid possible damage caused by strong winds.
