Weather disrupts flights at Tribhuvan International Airport

KATHMANDU: Some domestic and international flights have been affected at Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) in Kathmandu due to adverse weather conditions on Sunday.

According to TIA, a Turkish Airlines flight from Istanbul was diverted to New Delhi, India, after it was unable to land at TIA. Several domestic flights have also been delayed due to poor visibility and changing weather conditions.

Meanwhile, the weather has remained unstable across the country. Light rain is likely in some hilly and mountainous areas of all provinces today and tomorrow.

The Department of Hydrology and Meteorology has also warned of the possibility of moderate to heavy rainfall accompanied by thunder and lightning in one or two places in the Terai region of Lumbini Province today.
