Nepal Airlines records 7% revenue growth, passenger numbers up 18.7% in six months

KATHMANDU: Nepal Airlines Corporation has reported an encouraging improvement in its half-year performance, with both revenue and passenger numbers posting notable growth.

According to data released by the Corporation, total revenue increased by nearly seven percent during the first six months of the current fiscal year—from Shrawan to Poush—compared to the same period of the previous fiscal year 2024/25.

Passenger numbers saw an even stronger rise, growing by approximately 18.7 percent year-on-year during the review period.

The national flag carrier attributed the improvement to the maximum utilization of available aircraft and the operation of regular and efficient flights across various destinations. The Corporation said that enhanced operational management and consistent flight schedules contributed to the increase in both revenue and passenger traffic.

Flights operated between January and March have also witnessed high passenger occupancy, indicating sustained demand in both domestic and international sectors.

Spokesperson Archana Khadka said the Corporation aims to continue the growth momentum by further expanding services and strengthening market management strategies in the coming months.

Nepal Airlines has been working to improve operational efficiency and optimize fleet usage as part of its broader effort to enhance financial performance and service delivery.
