Joint security patrol launched in Jhapa-5 ahead of polls



JHAPA: A joint security patrol has been launched in Jhapa-5 in view of the House of Representatives election scheduled for March 5.

The patrol has been initiated under an integrated security plan with the participation of the Nepali Army, Nepal Police, and Armed Police Force to discourage criminal activities and maintain law and order.

According to Deputy Superintendent of Police Khagendra Bahadur Khadka, Information Officer at the District Police Office, Jhapa, security personnel have been mobilized in various locations as required to prevent any untoward incidents and ensure a smooth and secure election process.

He said the number of personnel deployed has been determined based on necessity to ensure that no criminal activities take place and that election security remains uncompromised.
