RSP’s Pukar Bam vows anti-corruption drive in Kathmandu-4

KATHMANDU: Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) candidate Pukar Bam has said he entered the electoral race from Kathmandu Constituency No. 4 with a commitment to end corruption and promote good governance.

Speaking during a door-to-door campaign on Thursday, Bam said he aims to create a conducive environment for youths seeking their future within the country while ensuring transparency and accountability in governance.

He also pledged to develop his constituency into a heritage tourism hub and to address what he described as longstanding injustices faced by Kathmandu-4.

Bam expressed confidence in his victory, stating that voters in the constituency are enthusiastic and supportive of the RSP’s broader goal of forming a government for the next five years.

In Kathmandu-4, Bam is contesting against Rajan Bhattarai of CPN-UML, Sachin Timilsina of Nepali Congress, Indra Kumar Bhusal of NCP, Surendra Bhandari of RPP, among others. A total of 28 candidates are in the fray.

The constituency has 76,141 registered voters, with 33 polling stations and 88 polling centres. In the previous election, Nepali Congress leader Gagan Kumar Thapa had won from the constituency.
