NC candidates from Kathmandu Valley to unveil ‘Vision 10’ development roadmap

KATHMANDU: Candidates of the Nepali Congress from the three districts of the capital—Kathmandu, Lalitpur and Bhaktapur, are set to unveil a shared development roadmap, ‘Vision 10’, on Thursday at 1:00 pm.

The 10-point joint commitment has been prepared to promote integrated and sustainable development in the Valley. The roadmap was drafted under the active leadership of Party General Secretary and Kathmandu-5 HoR candidate Pradeep Paudel, who consulted with candidates on common issues such as traffic management, infrastructure development, and pollution control.

“Development of the entire Valley is our priority. Raising issues collectively makes implementation easier, which is why we are announcing this joint commitment,” said General Secretary Paudel. He added that the roadmap outlines key initiatives planned for the next five years in the Valley.

According to NC Kathmandu Secretary Sushan Vaidya, the special programme will be held at Bhat-Bhateni in Bishalnagar, with all HoR and provincial assembly candidates from the three districts participating.

The party believes that ‘Vision 10’ will help manage the city’s rapid urbanization and address common issues faced by Valley residents.
