NRB issues today’s foreign currency exchange rates



KATHMANDU: Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has published the foreign exchange rates for today. According to the central bank, the buying rate of one US dollar has been fixed at Rs 146.81, while the selling rate stands at Rs 147.41.

The buying rate of one euro has been set at Rs 173.65 and the selling rate at Rs 174.36. Likewise, one UK pound sterling is being bought at Rs 200.32 and sold at Rs 201.14, while the Swiss franc is priced at Rs 188.15 for buying and Rs 188.91 for selling.

Among other major currencies, the Australian dollar has a buying rate of Rs 101.24 and a selling rate of Rs 101.65, while the Canadian dollar is being traded at Rs 107.16 (buying) and Rs 107.59 (selling). The Singapore dollar stands at Rs 115.42 for buying and Rs 115.89 for selling.

The buying rate of 10 Japanese yen has been fixed at Rs 9.43 and the selling rate at Rs 9.47. Similarly, the Chinese yuan is being bought at Rs 21.08 and sold at Rs 21.17. The Saudi Arabian riyal is priced at Rs 39.14 (buying) and Rs 39.30 (selling), while the Qatari riyal stands at Rs 40.28 and Rs 40.45 respectively.

According to NRB, one Thai baht is being bought at Rs 4.74 and sold at Rs 4.76. The UAE dirham has a buying rate of Rs 39.97 and a selling rate of Rs 40.13, while the Malaysian ringgit stands at Rs 36.65 and Rs 36.80.

The buying rate of 100 South Korean won has been fixed at Rs 10.15 and the selling rate at Rs 10.19. The Swedish krona is priced at Rs 16.40 (buying) and Rs 16.46 (selling), and the Danish krone at Rs 23.26 and Rs 23.35 respectively.

The buying and selling rates for the Hong Kong dollar have been set at Rs 18.83 and Rs 18.91 respectively. Similarly, the Kuwaiti dinar is being traded at Rs 480.95 (buying) and Rs 482.92 (selling), the Bahraini dinar at Rs 389.39 and Rs 390.98, and the Omani rial at Rs 381.31 and Rs 382.87.

The exchange rate for 100 Indian rupees has been fixed at Rs 160 for buying and Rs 160.15 for selling. NRB has stated that the exchange rates may be revised as required. It also noted that rates set by commercial banks may vary, and the latest updates are available on the central bank’s website.
