House of Representatives meeting postponed



KATHMANDU: The meeting of the House of Representatives scheduled for 1 pm today has been postponed.

According to the Federal Parliament Secretariat, the meeting at Singha Durbar was postponed due to special circumstances. A new date for the meeting has not yet been announced.

The meeting was scheduled to discuss several bills and agreements. Minister for Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Sobita Gautam was scheduled to present the Nepal Law Commission (First Amendment) Bill, 2083.

Minister Gautam was also scheduled to present a proposal seeking consideration of the Reconciliation (Second Amendment) Bill, 2083.

Similarly, she was scheduled to present the Agreement on the Conservation and Sustainable Use of Marine Biological Diversity in Areas Beyond National Jurisdiction under the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea.

All the listed agenda items will now be taken up at the next meeting of the House.
