All eight local governments in Jumla unveil budgets for upcoming fiscal year



JUMLA: All eight local governments in Jumla district have unveiled their policies, programmes and budgets for the upcoming fiscal year 2083/84 BS.

The district’s one municipality and seven rural municipalities made their budget announcements on Wednesday.

According to the approved estimates, Chandannath Municipality has allocated a budget of Rs 594.6 million for the next fiscal year.

Similarly, Tatopani Rural Municipality has announced a budget of Rs 542.8 million, while Patarasi Rural Municipality has allocated Rs 454.6 million.

Tila Rural Municipality has unveiled a budget of Rs 505.1 million, while Hima Rural Municipality has earmarked Rs 437.9 million for the upcoming fiscal year.

Likewise, Kanakasundari Rural Municipality has announced a budget of Rs 451.2 million and Guthichaur Rural Municipality Rs 383.6 million.

The local governments have prioritized institutional strengthening, good governance, sustainable infrastructure and urban development, preservation and promotion of arts, culture and cultural heritage, as well as improvements in basic healthcare and education services.
