Joint Secretary Dangol appointed Director General of Civil Aviation Authority



KATHMANDU: The government has appointed Joint Secretary Mukesh Dangol as the Director General of the Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN).

Government spokesperson and Minister for Education Sasmita Pokharel said the decision was taken during the Cabinet meeting held on Monday.

A total of 21 candidates had applied for the post of Director General of the Civil Aviation Authority.

The Ministry of Tourism had initiated the process to appoint the CAAN chief through open competition. The deadline for applications was set for Baisakh 21, during which 21 applications were received.

Applicants included employees from the authority itself as well as tourism entrepreneurs.

Minister Pokharel also informed that the Cabinet meeting fixed the minimum support price for paddy crops for the upcoming planting season.
