Woman dies after lightning strike in Parbat



PARBAT: A woman has died after being struck by lightning in Phalewas Municipality-5 of Parbat district.

According to the District Police Office Parbat, 55-year-old Sita Lamichhane of Khanigaun, who was critically injured in the incident on Friday evening, died during treatment at the Provincial Hospital Parbat on Saturday.

Information Officer and Police Inspector Rajan Kumar Patel said Lamichhane was inside her house when she was suddenly struck by lightning, leaving her unconscious.

She was immediately rushed to the hospital for treatment, where she later succumbed to her injuries, police said.
