Tourist vehicles require permit to operate service on election day



KATHMANDU: An arrangement has been made to operate transportation service for the movement of tourists by acquiring permission at least two days before the day of the election to the House of Representatives scheduled for March 5.

As per the ‘Procedure related to operation of vehicles-2082’ issued by the Election Commission, arrangement for the permission of operation of tourists vehicles has been made as international flights would be operated regularly even on election day.

EC Spokesperson Narayan Prasad Bhattarai shared that tourist vehicles could be operated by taking permission at least two days before March 5 from the concerned District Administration Office and Election Commission, Kathmandu.

Similarly, arrangement has been made in the procedure to make the movement of vehicles along the highways systematic.
Likewise, other vehicles except of essential services, diplomatic missions, human rights commission could be operated by getting the required permit.
