Two youths killed in truck-motorcycle collision in Hetauda, driver absconding



BAGMATI: Two youths were killed after a truck rammed into a motorcycle along the East-West Highway at Bastipur in Hetauda Sub-Metropolitan City-19 on Wednesday.

According to Superintendent of Police Pushkar Bogati, spokesperson for the District Police Office, Makwanpur, the motorcycle (Na 43 Pa 221) was heading towards Manahari from Hetauda bazaar when it was hit by a truck coming towards Hetauda from Newarpani.

The deceased have been identified as 22-year-old Sanjit Syangtang of Raksirang Rural Municipality-1, who was riding the motorcycle, and 18-year-old passenger Amosh Thing.

Both sustained critical injuries in the accident and died, police said.

Police have launched a search operation for the truck and its driver, who fled the scene following the incident.
