One killed, one injured in Tanahun jeep accident



DAMAULI: One person was killed and another injured in a jeep accident in Myagde Rural Municipality–4, Koldanda, Tanahun, on Sunday morning.

According to Deputy Superintendent of Police Shrawan Kumar BK of the District Police Office, a jeep (Ga 3 Cha 5838) traveling from Koldanda toward Tharpu fell about 20 meters off the Koldanda–Tharpu inner road this morning.

The accident claimed the life of 13-year-old Koiska Gharti of Myagde–4, Koldanda. Seriously injured in the crash, Gharti was rushed to the Provincial Hospital, Damauli, where doctors declared him dead at 8:40 am.

Another passenger, 15-year-old Dipsan Gharti of the same area, sustained injuries and is currently undergoing treatment. Police have taken the driver, 30-year-old Basanta Gharti, into custody for further investigation.
