Gold price hits record Rs 303,800 per tola in domestic market



KATHMANDU: The prices of gold and silver hit record highs in the domestic market on Sunday. Gold rose by Rs 2,400 per tola, while silver increased by Rs 290 compared to Friday.

According to the Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Federation, the price of one tola of hallmark gold has been fixed at Rs 303,800, while silver is being traded at Rs 6,480 per tola.

On Friday, the price of hallmark gold stood at Rs 301,400 per tola, and silver was priced at Rs 6,190 per tola.

International media reports indicate that gold is currently trading at US$ 4,987 per ounce in the international market, while silver is being traded at US$ 103 per ounce.
