KATHMANDU: Speaker Dol Prasad Aryal has directed the Federal Parliament Secretariat to remove several words used by CPN-UML parliamentary party leader Ram Bahadur Thapa ‘Badal’ and Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) lawmaker Indira Rana Magar from the records of the House of Representatives.
The Speaker directed the removal of words deemed unparliamentary and indecent during Monday’s parliamentary proceedings.
Words including “bear,” “prostitute” and “cyber army,” used by Rana Magar during the House meeting on Bhadra 1, have been ordered removed from the parliamentary record.
Similarly, words including “sacrifice of citizens,” “Pakistani model,” “North Korea model” and “America,” used by UML parliamentary party leader Badal during the House meeting on Bhadra 3, have also been ordered removed.
Following the Speaker’s directive, the Parliament Secretariat will proceed with removing the specified words from the official records of the respective House meetings.
